But today, there’s Grid360, sophisticated software that enables energy grid operators to monitor and analyze operations. When Nexant developed a prototype of this cutting-edge tool, it asked Favorite Medium to help them re-envision it for the energy companies that they serve.

With our user-centered design thinking, we helped Nexant expand their early market prototype into a complete energy network lifecycle that encompasses both operations and strategic planning. Distribution planners can use Grid360 to help them simulate different scenarios — such as storms — and optimize for them. We designed a user interface that’s clear and intuitive to use. Implemented at over 130 locations around the world, Grid360 helps utilities develop a better emergency response, analyze and plan their operations, and distribute energy more efficiently.
